Dayton Softball Academy offers individualized hitting sessions for beginning players. These sessions cover everything from stance, grip, and contact point to pitch selection, weight transfer, and bunting.

Advance Hitting
Have you been playing for a few years and are ready to prefect your swing? Dayton Softball Academy offers advanced hitting sessions to take your game to the next level. Our instructor will break the break the swing down to individual movement's so the athlete can feel what she is doing wrong. Then, we will show the right way to do the individual movement. Here at Dayton Softball Academy, we specialize in weight transfer, level swings, and ball placement to create powerful base hits that will clear the bases.

Emily Weitz started Dayton Softball Academy in 2015 out of her passion for turning athletes into leaders. Emily has been pitching since she was 10 years old and played at Bluffton University where she earned HCAC Honorable Mention Award as well as HCAC Sportsmanship Award. Emily is currently the JV Softball coach at Carroll High School and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. With a background in Social Work, Emily applies the knowledge of her profession into her coaching. Emily focuses on creating the total athlete that is able to be a leader both on and off the field. I believe repetition is key to success but I also know that time is limited so I show the athlete what to fix and how to fix it so they can take the knowledge home with them and practice on their own. I am a big believer in 500 swings a day, everyday. After all individual movements are fixed, I have the athlete swing through again so they can feel how everything comes together. Chelsea Weitz
